Description: Up for sale is a 7 x 11" photo that has been produced from my original old negatives of Meade View Company postcards, a company that sold real photo postcards of numerous Maine towns and views in the 1920's, 1930's, and early 1940's. What you see is exactly what the postcard looked like, only better, since we cleaned up the negative, sharpened the image, and printed it with glossy format on quality photo paper. The back of the photo is blank. These photos have been printed from a .tif file, much sharper than .jpg or .gif files. This view is of Ocean Avenue, Kennebunkport, Maine with the Green Heron Inn and Restaurant sign on the right. Wonderful scene of the old autos parked on the street. If you look closely, you can see a large sailboat or schooner docked on the left and a Tailor sign on a building on the right, now the site of Mabel's Lobster Claw Restaurant. The Green Heron is still very much in business as a popular bed-and-breakfast. inn, but now it's called the Edgewater Inn!
